MOVING UP IN THE BLOGGING WORLD!

Hi all, I am so excited about this…that I just had to post. I started this blog just as a hobby to share with my fellow Weight Watchers at Work folks, but it has since grown. Pretty exciting stuff! I was recently asked to be a Guest blogger on one of my favorite sites, so you can imagine how excited I was!

I met Mara, from ‘What’s For Dinner’ on Twitter. Some how we found each other and started to chat about Jazzercise…she is a new student and very excited about the classes, and being an instructor, it’s great to hear feedback from students; even if they aren’t your students! Any who…I took a gander at her blog and I was hooked…it is amazing! So just recently she started a new trend of having a ‘Guest for Dinner’…so I wrote a little blurb and she posted it on her site! AMAZING!

CLICK HERE to check out my posting on her site…

Be sure to check out ‘What’s for Dinner’, she’s always got some great low-calorie dinner ideas!
Enjoy!

Happy cooking!

Before & After Pictures

Hi all, I’ve had some requests for me to post some before & after pictures. Since I’m usually the one taking the pictures it was difficult for me to dig up some photos…but here is a start.

These two photos are wedding related; the first one was taken in 2006 at my engagement party. The second one was taken in 2008 on my wedding day. At this point in my journey, I had lost 7 inches off of my waist and dropped 10 pounds.

I do not have any current pictures of me with 9 inches off my waist now and an additional 5 pounds and I’m working on it. Once I get them, I will post them up here.

Before Pictures (10 pounds heavier)

After Picture (After loosing 7 inches off my waist and loosing 10 pounds)

Staying with Weight Watchers and Jazzercising at least 4 days a week has contributed to my weight loss goals.

Enjoy!

I did it!

I have to share with my blog followers…I have made lifetime for Weight Watchers. I lost a total of 15 pounds, but the biggest part was lowering my blood pressure and loosing inches off of my waist. Now loosing the inches off of my waste had a lot to do with Jazzercise, but making better eating decisions was a plus! So, to those of you that are out there and struggling with Weight Watchers, you can do it…and it is so worth it! I am in the process of digging up a before and after pictures to post, so keep your eyes open.

On another note, I am working on some new blog postings that should be available soon: Chicken Stir Fry, and Chicken & Rice recipes.

I've got a new look...

Hi all! I took the plunge and had some custom work done on the blog, I kept changing my mind over and over with the templates, so I enlisted 'One Cute Blog' to help me out and create a template. She did a fantastic job and it was SO quick...I highly recommend her. Hope you enjoy the new layout.

Girl Scout Cookies with their Weight Watcher Point Values

Hello all…it’s that time of year again when those adorable Girl Scouts ask you to buy their cookies. Considering that I have 5 pounds left to loose before I become a ‘LifeTime’ with Weight Watchers, I had to look up how many points those yummy cookies are. Since I was going to the effort anyway, I figured that I would share it with my followers.

CLICK HERE to view a printable version of the Girl Scout Cookie Point Values.

I just recently found out in one of my Weight Watchers meetings, that if you don’t want to buy cookies you can always place a donation to the troop. This serves as a relief for the guilt of passing up the girls AND saves your waistline!

I have a bunch of cooking planned for this weekend so I should be updating the site with some more yummy recipes. Also, I recently receive a care package from POM Wonderful with some 100% Pomegranate juice…I’m planning on making some POM Chocolate Cupcakes; which my husband seems to be quite excited about.

Please feel free to email me if you have any suggestion on recipes, suggestions about the site or anything that may be on your mind.

A short update

Hi everyone, I know I haven’t posted in a while…and for that matter, I haven’t been cooking either! Well, it shows…my last weigh in was not good.

But that’s OK because I am back on track, saying NO to the Halloween candy and I have started cooking again.

Soon, I will be posting pics and recipes that I experimented with this weekend…such as Lemon Grass Chicken soup, San Antonio Chicken, Wheat Bread and Traditional Italian Pizzelle Cookies.

Chat soon…

Quick note

Hi all, I wanted to put a quick note out here to let you know…I have not forgotten about this blog. I have been cooking up a storm and taking pictures. I am behind on posting, so sorry about that. Some of my posts that are coming up are stuffed peppers, red pepper and spinach pasta, slow-cooker chicken burritos, eye opener smoothie and crock-pot roast beef.

Over the last week, I have been able to spend some time with my husband during is off-week from school, so I had to soak up as much hubby time as possible…but I’ll be back in full effect for the weeks to come. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or comments, I am always willing to hear about recipes that I have not thought of.

This weekend, I will be making soups to start freezing and eating through out the cold season. Soups have been a tremendous help for me during my weight loss journey. I started Weight Watchers in 2006 and I am still going strong. I am 3.4 pounds away from my goal wait and I am so excited to reach life time. This has been a long painful journey for me, but if I put my mind to it…I can do anything. And so can you! I highly recommend Weight Watchers; they truly help you to realize what type of eater you are and how to change those bad eating habits.

And speaking of Weight Watchers, I am off to my meeting.

I've found my new hobby!

After I attended my Weight Watcher's meeting yesterday, and I had lost 2.8 pounds this week, it re-motivated me to start my new hobby. Lately I have really enjoyed cooking, and I have especially enjoyed preparing Weight Watcher's and healthy eating recipes. I know there are thousands of them out there so I have committed to trying a new one every week. And what better way to share the ones that I enjoy than on a blog. I am totally addicted to this whole blog thing, could you tell? LOL. So here we go, my next post will be of the excellent dinner that I prepared last night.

Now keep in mind, Pete & I are probably the PICKIEST eaters ever, so it is difficult for us to find recipes that fit our needs.

I will always reference the actual recipe, but tell you how I tweaked it so that we can eat it.

I hope you enjoy and let me know if you have any suggestions.
